Well
done Sarah - you did Pudsey Proud!

At the same
time as the younger swimmers were working their magic at
Knottingley, Sarah was strutting her fabulous stuff at the
GB trials. There were over 50 swimmers trying out in
senior and junior sections; Sarah tried out for
both and came 14th in both sections! This is a huge
success for Sarah and judges on the day commented on how
well she did. The top 12 junior and top 9 senior
swimmers got selected to relocate to to the National
Centre of Excellence in Aldershot where they will train
for the Olympics. Sarah was extremely close to getting
in and will be continuing her development ready for next
year. As a part of her training she will be doing a duet
with Heba - what better way to train for the Olympics
than to swim with a past Olympic star!
Sarah got
to where she is today with pure dedication - she had to
make sacrifices like not going out with her friends,
stretching everyday even when she just wanted to watch
TV after a hard day at school but most of all, she had
the belief that she could do it. Sarah is a prime
example of how synchronised swimmers need to
succeed, so for all those future Olympic hopefuls at Pudsey
- Sarah did it and so can you!
