Pudsey Strike Gold!

"BOO" "RARH"

Pudsey had 3 teams entering the novice competition, a record entry for our club. This could only have only been achieved by coaches and swimmers hard work and dedication.

In the SCARY team Abigail, Evie, Charlotte J, Rachel, Katie, Megan, Larissa and Lesley did a fantastic performance which earned them first place in Yorkshire - a huge achievement! Abigail, Evie, Rachel and Katie all showed extreme dedication and therefore will be offered a place in the 12 and under Pudsey Nationals squad! Charlotte, Megan, Larissa and Lesley have been offered a place in the national Musical Madness Combo and have already started learning the senior's routine. This is a big challenge for the girls and Megan and Charlotte are already fitting perfectly in to the squad.  

The LION KING team - Daniella, Sharlotte, Charlotte S, Isabel and Amy were the youngest team in the competition, they all had never competed in a big competition before and they swam beautifully. In fact, Joelle was heard to say:

              "They made me so proud I had tears in my eyes"

The Lion King team have all achieved so much and will all be offered a place on the 12 and under national team squad for Pudsey and will be learning the SCARY team!

Sheila Gooch's team which have been training at Ilkley Grammar School swam for Pudsey and did a brilliant team which was extremely well synchronised.

Joanne Larner has been coaching the Lion King team, her first team of many, hopefully, and swimmers and fellow coaches are impressed by her dedication and constant development as a coach. If Joanne's dedication is a taster of Pudsey's future coaches the club is sure to do well!

Well done to all the swimmers who were committed to a very hard training schedule, we are starting to see some real commitment from both swimmers and parents which puts us in good stead for the future.
